Service, repair, and restoration of all brands and models of domestic sewing machines. Serviced on-site inside Vector Quilts & Sewing Center, next to Thread Bear Fabrics. We fix machines that others won't, and we offer a free 6-month warranty on all service. I specialize in the restoration of vintage and antique sewing machines. In 2020, we will be an authorized service shop for Brother, Janome, and HandiQuilter, but we service all brands and models of machines.
Located in Cumming, Georgia, we are building a full-scale trade school to teach the art and science of sewing machine service & repair. In addition, we are building a full online version as well, so you can learn from anywhere!

David Gilleland is a Brother, Janome, and HandiQuilter dealer, offers longarm quilting services and rentals, teaches extensive embroidery classes, quilting, sewing, garment, and other classes, hosts retreats and social groups, and offers a wide selection of stabilizers, notions, patterns, and longarm tools. Located right next door to Thread Bear Fabrics in Cumming.
Is your Guild or Group looking for a speaker or a workshop? I travel, and I bring the fun to you! I offer a range of lectures and workshops, everything from the Featherweight Service workshop, the "Optimize Your Sewing Machine Experience" lecture, to machine applique and freemotion quilting. Meeting quilters and visiting Guilds is one of my most favorite things to do.
The root of Sewing Doc Service & Academy is giving and helping others. My ultimate goal is to not only build a vocational school, but to also provide viable skills, jobs, and the opportunity to franchise a Sewing Doc service shop. Find out more about our efforts here.

In 2005-2006, I served time in the Georgia State Prison system. In recent times, I've decided to use my experience to help others in some say. In the meantime, I've published my journal from my incarceration, as well as photos, blog posts, and other various things.
